Golden Saba’s flagship product is the Individual Quick Frozen (IQF) Saba Banana.  It comes in two variants, Whole and SlicedThe Golden Saba process of steamed IQF Saba banana preserves the fresh sweet taste, nutrients and unique flavour of the Philippine Saba.  It is packed in a ready to heat, microwaveable container to conveniently bring anywhere and snack on anytime.  It can be eaten alone or added to popular Filipino dishes like Adobo, Nilaga or Pochero and Arroz Ala Cubana.

Whole Saba

  • Fully Cooked, Peeled
  • Frozen using Individual Quick Freezing (IQF)
  • 50 to 90 g per Banana Piece

Sliced Saba

    • Fully Cooked, Peeled
    • Frozen using Individual Quick Freezing (IQF)
    • 15 to 20 mm per banana slice

      • 4 lbs / 1.8 kg institutional

Serving Suggestions: Microwaved, Boiled, Steamed or Fried.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Microwaved:

To heat the whole pack, directly place Golden Saba microwavable pack in a microwave oven. To heat, a few pieces place the desire number of pieces in a microwavable safe container with cover. Set at high temperature. Heat for 5 to 6 minutes until Golden Saba Saba Bananas are tender. Let stand for 1 minute before serving. Serve warm alone or with caramel syrup.

Note: Heating times may vary depending on the oven wattage and the number of bananas heated at one time.

Steamed:

Put the desired number of pieces in a steamer. Heat for 20 minutes or until Golden Saba Saba bananas is tender. Let stand for 1 minute before serving. Serve warm alone or with caramel syrup.
